If you’re a fan of big vocal house tracks you will have almost certainly picked up the remix CASSIMM did with Sam Devine on Kristine Blond. It had that perfect combination of a killer club vocal line, cool pianos and a monster bottom end that took it right to the tope of the Traxsource charts earlier this year.
It obviously worked for the guys over at DFTD who’ve picked up an ep of classic NYC house grooves from Sam & CASSIMM for release this month.
For his GU debut he hooks up with London-based vocalist Lolly Campbell for a deeper, trackier affair. Sounding more like Maya Jane Coles than the NY dons he’s referenced with Divine, this is our kind of vocal house. It might lack the scream-up vocals but for us what it lacks in raw energy it makes up for in soul.
