#2102 – CJ JEFF – KEEP WATCHING ME (INCL. ANDRE HOMMEN REMIX)

We have something a wee bit special for you today. It’s from sometime Sabb collaborator, CJ Jeff. His first record for GU was the wonderfully dark “What 2 Do”. It featured on our Amsterdam pack last year and picked up love from the likes of The Mekanism & James Organ.

“Keep Watching Me” is one of those amazing records that manages to deliver a 100% dance-floor focussed groove AND a killer vocal on top. Sounding like the young cousin of Villalobos’ Mari Kvien Brunvoll mix from 2013, this is our kind of 4am in Ibiza.

Complimenting Jeff’s tough original is a superb deep journey from Andre Hommen. Hommen’s “Battery Park” is one of our favourite deep records from the last couple of years and the Objektivity front man takes “Keep Watching Me”, adds a moody-ass bassline and some heart-plucking arps to finish with a mix that shows – to me anyway – that he is up there with Dixon when it comes to hypnotic, emotional house music.

Buy it now from BEATPORT.
